I am two years older than Trish, but you would have guessed her to be my older sister. She was a protector by nature, always a champion to the underdog. Walking home from school often turned into quite the adventure. If there was a lost or hurt animal or someone being bullied, she would always step up and take control, no matter the size or strength of her adversary. As we got older, I had witnessed on many occasions her giving away her last ten dollars to someone less fortunate than herself.
Even though she has made some wrong choices in her life, like so many of us do, I see now that it all has purpose. When Trish was first released from prison, I told her how sorry I was that 3 years of her life were wasted, and this is what she said;
"Don't be sorry! These last 3 years of my life have been the best years of my life. Without them I would have never built a relationship with God. I wouldn't trade my prison experience for anything in this world!"
She means it!
Now that I have witnessed firsthand the transformation Trish has gone through, and I have had the privilege of being one of the first to read her book, I now know what it is that made her stand apart from the average person. God's hand and His favor has been on Trish from the day she was born, and it has been on her for such a time as this.
You Are Never Alone was written by Trish, but it is obvious to anyone who reads it that it was inspired by God. Once again she has shown great strength and courage by exposing her life, her heart, and her faith in Christ for the whole world to see. She has left her heart open and vulnerable in hopes that her story will touch and change the lives of those who are in the prisons all across this country and those who are living in the prisons that they have built for themselves by trying to lead a life without Christ.
I believe that God plans on using Trish in a big way. Something tells me that this book is going to be the catalyst that opens doors for her to help advance the kingdom of God in a way that she has never even dreamed of.
I have battled depression since my teen years and by reading this book and letting the truth that God is alive, close, and working in our lives sink down into my spirit, I have been delivered from my prison of depression.
Thank you, Jesus, and thank you, Trish, for leaving me with the undeniable truth that God is with me always and the wonderful truth that-I Am Never Alone!

The time I spend with my aunt Trish is invaluable because her faith is so real. She trusts in God and relies upon Him to always fulfill His promises. Unfortunately, for a lot of us that kind of faith doesn't seem to come so easy. Trish's story is an inspiration. Her story is proof that if we will put our trust in God He will always come through and He will never let us down.

This book is a wonderful example of God's amazing grace. We often think that in order to be close to God we have to live a sinless life. The truth is, God is closest to those who need Him the most. This book is proof to us that if we will put our trust in God He will slowly and faithfully lead us into a life that pleases Him. He will lead us into a life of victory as a result of His sweet miracles.

World's Point of View
We live in a world where ideas of what is right and wrong have been distorted. Many of us go through life believing what the world has to say about who we are. Perception of ones self can be based on our strengths or our weaknesses, accomplishments and failures; depending on what we have experienced in life.
People who have learned to depend solely on themselves to do great things tend to be a little too proud, a little too self serving and a little bit egotistical; in a lot of cases the independent soul fails to recognize the needs of others because they are consumed with wanting more, having more and being better based on the world's way of thinking. This individual succeeds in building empires, creating material wealth and in a lot of cases because of the way they built this empire, who they had to hurt to get there, they are left with an overwhelming feeling that something very important is missing, and that's because it is. We are Spiritual beings that need love and relationships. After years of building wealth, this individual will end up crumbling due to Spiritual and emotional bankruptcy.
The second category is the extreme opposite from Mr. or Mrs. Independent. These are the people who the world has told that they are inadequate and doomed to fail; they feel defeated before they even get started. They see themselves as insignificant, rejected, and worthless. This perception of ones self causes Mr. or Mrs. Rejected to focus on themselves, therefore they too fail to recognize the needs of others. They will create the habit of not caring whether or not they are doing things that are harmful to themselves or others because they think that they have already failed before they have tried to accomplish good things. They will go through life rebelling against anything that is right and good; they figure why even try? It's useless! Many turn to drugs, alcohol, lawlessness. They too will suffer Spiritual and emotional bankruptcy.
The Bible
The Bible is the handbook for life. We were created by a God, who has impressed on the hearts of 45 people to explain to us how to succeed in every area of life. We have to choose to believe what God says, just like we made a choice to believe what the world says. His word is alive; it is sharper that a double-edged-sword. It will cut through all of the shame, the guilt, the rejection, the pain, the pride, the selfishness that we have allowed into our hearts, based on what the world has taught us.
There is a very active spiritual realm that cannot be seen by the eye, felt by the touch, or heard by the ear. There is a constant spiritual battle being fought on your behalf. And like anything else in life, the one that is fed the most will be the one who wins. We have a choice to listen to the flesh and others who are ruled by Satan, or we can get into God's word and learn who we are based on His opinion. God made himself flesh, died on a cross, shed His innocent blood so that we could be reconciled to him and protected against the powers of Satan. The blood of Jesus Christ holds the power to set you free from all of the plans of Satan that are designed to keep you living in poverty, living in pain, living in shame, living in guilt, living in greed. This state of mind is designed to accomplish one thing; it is very subtle but very significant: They will keep you focused on You, Yourself and You!
This is what the God of the Bible and His son Jesus have to say about me, the author:
I was made in God's image; He loves me unconditionally.
I was fearfully and carefully knitted together by God in my mother's womb, I am the apple of God's eye; He loves me unconditionally.
I am a person for whom God has planned a good future full of hope, meant for good things; not evil things; He loves me unconditionally.
From the very moment that I accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ; He sees me Righteous, Washed Clean, Holy and Blameless.
He has forgiven me for all of the bad things that I did in my past, and He will forgive me for all of the mistakes that I will make in my future; all I have to do is get on my knees, go boldly to the throne of grace and ask; He loves me unconditionally.
Now that I know what my rights are as a blood-bought daughter of Christ, I hold the promise that what ever I touch with my hands will prosper; He loves me unconditionally.
As a child of the most-high God, He will impress on the hearts of men to show me favor and respect; the things that I need to be successful, will show up and they will show up right on time; He loves me unconditionally.
God has assigned a legion of His Angels to protect me; they will go before me and they will be my rear guard; they will not even allow me to dash my foot; They hearken to the word of God; when I speak scripture out loud, they run to do God's bidding; He loves me unconditionally.
When my life has ended here, which is just a vapor in time, I am guaranteed a place in Heaven, where nothing is missing and nothing is broken. I will live forever in the presence of pure love with a God who created me and His son Jesus who died for me; They love me unconditionally.
Those are just a few things that God has to say about me, and I have good news for you! These are the same things that He has to say about you too!
He is no respecter of persons! His promises are for anyone who will confess Jesus as their Lord. God is a perfect, powerful and Loving Father; He wants you to make this decision because you want to. What does God want in return? He wants you to trust Him, He wants you to depend on Him, He wants you to believe in Him, but most of all He wants you to love Him and His Son unconditionally.
We all have a choice to believe ourselves, believe the world, or believe our Loving Creator about who we are. I have made the choice to believe God and it has caused me to thirst after Him and His word. It has changed my life! When you do this, you will know that, You Are Never Alone!
The Prayer of Salvation
Father in Heaven, I come to you today in the name of your Son Jesus Christ to ask for forgiveness for my sins. I believe that you love me so much, that you sent Jesus to die on the cross for me. I believe that He rose from the dead three days later. I want you teach me how to live a life that will please You. I have been told that saying this prayer is the beginning and I trust that You will lead me into a full understanding of You and Your word. Thank you for this awesome opportunity and thank you for loving me so much. I accept Your free gift of salvation. You are the light of the world, Amen.
God tells us in His word that when you say that prayer, all of the Heavens rejoice while your name is being written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Your place in Heaven is saved and secure, but it doesn't stop there. Continue in God's word and He will slowly reveal to you the mysteries of Heaven. It is an awesome, powerful, loving, life-long journey that you will travel all of the days of your life and it ends at the staircase of Heaven.
When your life is finished, here on this earth; you will walk up the staircase to Heaven and a nail-pierced hand will reach out for you, He will take you into His arms and hold your head tightly against His mighty chest. A tear will roll down His cheek; He will look at you, smile and say, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Step into my Father's Mansion, let me show you the room that has been prepared for you..."
However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
No ear has heard,
No mind has conceived
What God has prepared for those who love him"
(1 Corinthians 2:9,NIV)
